The name's April!  Although I am a native Georgian and my hometown is Wilson, NC I currently reside in Wake Forest, North Carolina via The College at Southeastern.  I am a junior studying in the BACS/Missions program.  Lately, I have been considering dropping my double major and just going for the Biblical Studies major and a Missions minor.  There is a lot of thinking and reasoning behind this but the just of it is that the double major prepares you to go through the Masters of Divinity in Missions and also to work with the IMB, neither of which I plan to do.  Just within the past couple of months, I have been connecting with people around the world who have told me of opportunities to serve in Swaziland without being connected with the IMB.  I figure that since I am not really attached to anything over here in the States, why not go now?  I have been to Swaziland once before and ever since that trip, I have been wanting to go back.  I definitely feel the Lord's move in this and am just praying that this trip in particular will continue to direct me towards perhaps full-time ministry in Swaziland.  I would really like to start learning Siswati and immerse myself in the culture even more than I did on my past trip.  I am convinced that there's something about Swaziland that provides one with a bigger perspective on the universality of the gospel.  For those of you who haven't been to Swaziland, BE PREPARED TO BE WRECKED FOR THE GOSPEL; it's going to be amazing!  A big challenge that may present itself to me during this trip is a closed mind.  Even going to a Christian college, you'd be suprised how open-minded you have to be; everyone seems to have different convictions on major issues and although this leaves me discouraged at times, I know that our convictions ultimately come straight from the Holy Spirit.  I have been beyond blessed to attend SEBTS and I am constantly learning more about the gospel and its centrality to all things.  I am expectant for God to move in radical ways on this trip both for our team as a whole and also individually.  I am praying that our hearts would continue to be prepared and that the hearts of those we will meet will begin to be prepared too; I pray for open hearts, open hands, open homes, etc.  Random abouts:  (1) This will be my third international trip (first was Bahamas, second was Swazi, and third is Swazi again); (2) I have been to WV and Miami/Tampa in addition; (3) I love to read anything written in the form of a diary  AKA I like the ability to get into the minds of people.  In fact, if I went to a secular college, I would have studied Psychology; (4) I am a picky eater.  I am more than aware that rejecting meals in Swaziland is seen as an offense.  I have been on a "just try it" frenzy lately, so maybe that will help; (5) I enjoy watching soccer on the spanish channels on cable.  Yes, I can on ocassion generally get the gist of what is being said, so that's always fun; (6) My favorite color is mint green.

Well I believe that's enough information for right now!  I don't want to give too much away ;)

Ironically, I have no pictures of myself on my computer due to the fact I recently went over to the dark side of Macintosh :)
