Hey crew! My name is Megan Kittilstad and I live in the middle of good old Wisconsin in a town called Stevens Point. Originally I am from the Milwaukee area but I moved to Stevens Point when I started college at UWSP (University of Wisconsin Stevens Point). I am currently a junior majoring in Family Life Education with a nutrition minor. Like most of us I have no idea what I will/should be doing after college, I would love to do some inner city non-profit ministry type work or start an orphanage even but I have no idea what God has in store for me.
Besides boring school I am on the swim team here at UWSP! I started swimming when I was 7 years old; therefore swimming has been a huge part of my life for a long time. But ever since Jesus flooded my life last year I have been learning how to find my identity and worth in him instead of swimming. He is so good and tender to me and little by little he is teaching me, in his perfect ways, how to minister to my team instead of conforming and what it means to be a light in the darkness. Along with swimming I am also a banquet server at the local Holiday Inn where I mostly serve at weddings. I love it! You meet the most interesting people and you hear the best speeches.
This will be my first mission trip and I am so excited! I don’t even know what’s going to happen but I am ready for Jesus to rock my world! I am just ready. Lets go. Well actually my biggest fear is that I am not ready and that I am not prepared. That is why Swaziland is and has already been a humbling experience for me. Taking the “I” out of my thinking and learning that God’s got this. Not me.
Yep definatly dont know how to do this picture thing i will figure it out later :)
