Hey Everyone!!

So I always start out with this disclaimer...I AM A GIRL! Yes, despite my name, I am a girl!  My middle name is Ann, so I always sign my whole name on things so that people know :)

My name is Hunter Ann Miller!  I am from Rochester, New York.  I am 18 years old, almost 19 (I turn 19 on March 18th...10 days away!).  I am a freshman at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky.  Almost everyone I meet thinks it is super awesome that I'm from New York because they are thinking that New York City is the only place in New York state...haha but I live about 7 hours away from NYC.  Kentucky is SO different from New York!  The pace of life is way slower and so much more relaxed.  I absolutely adore Asbury University and it is clearly the place that God has called me to for the next 4 years of my life (well I guess less than 3 and 1/2 years now...this year is flown by!).  I am majoring in Missions (global missions) and minoring in Youth Ministry.  I absolutely love my missions classes.  God has placed in me a passion for the untouchables of this world.  He has placed a burden on my heart especially for orphans, girls in the sex-trade, and those who have never heard the name of Christ uttered.  I love getting to know people and having a relationship with them. 

I have been to the Dominican Republic three times on a missions trip and all three trips have been so incredibly different but have all eternally impacted me!  I fell in love with the precious people there and every time I had to leave, a piece of my heart was left there with them.  I have also been to Kenya with my family on a medical missions trip.  I worked in the NICU and it was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life.  I watched more than 1 baby die everyday and it broke my heart.  I watched mothers and fathers distress over their dead children and comforted them with Christ's love and hope of eternal life.  I have also been to Israel with my family, but that was for purely selfish reasons of touring around the country :).  But really, it was incredible and so awe-inspiring to walk where Jesus walked.  I can't even describe it.

Here are some random fun facts about me:

-When typing/writing/texting I use a TON of exclamation points!!!!!! :)

-I am a loud and outgoing person, but I know when to be serious

-I laugh at everything, so basically everyone is really funny

-I am always smiling

-I love to make people laugh

-photography is a huge part of my life

-I make ridiculous faces :) heheh

-nutella is amazing

-I can fake sneeze (strange, I know)

-mint chocolate chip ice cream=amazingness

-TOMS are my absolute favorite things EVER

-I am in a family of four with my mom, dad, and two younger brothers.  Aaron is 15 and Isaiah is 10.  I love them all SO much!

-I am a typical Asbury girl and have planned out my whole wedding...and I don't have a boyfriend yet hahah

-Pinterest is my weakness

-I love traveling and I love experiencing different cultures

-I think that all people are beautiful

-My favorite fruit are nectarines (and peaches)

-I am indecisive (hence why I always have more than 1 favorite thing because, I can't pick just one!)

-My favorite colors are turquoise and coral

-Vera Bradley patterns are fantastic

-Worshipping God by singing is my ultimate passion.  I LOVE singing and I live to worship Christ in everything that I do and say

-My all time favorite book is Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers

-Hillsong and Jesus Culture are INCREDIBLE worshippers

-I am directionally challenged

-I love cleaning and I am very organized...i clearly need some spontaneity in my life :)

-I am a morning person...so watch out! haha

-I love writing

-I always write too much 

Regarding this trip, I am so so excited to learn how to be completely dependent on God and to truly lean on Him for EVERYTHING.  I know that we are all going to be the greatest group of friends because God is going to be at the center of our relationship.  God has really been preparing me for this trip and I am in awe of His goodness!  I am SO excited to be used by God and for Him to speak through all of us.  I can't wait to fall more in love with Jesus with all of you!
