Hey guys... sooo i finally figured out how to post.. haha! Anyways my name is Molly Woodcock. I have lived my whole life in the beautiful state of Washington, home of the constant rain and our almost scary addiction to coffee. Starbucks is almost a religion here. :)
I'm 18 years old, actually i'll be turning 19 while we are in Swaziland! I was home schooled my whole life until my junior year of highschool, where I went through a running start program at a college, so that I could complete my first two years of college with a general AA by the time i graduated highschool. I'm not in college right now, but am leaning towards some type of degree in nutrition/ health studies... hopefully in the next year. I'm also the baby of the family. I have and older sister (22) and a brother (20).
Some facts about me, I am at a lack of skill when it comes to crafts/ sewing, but ironic enough work at a fabric store. Also I love to workout, which is probably a good thing cause I also love to bake. I also was on a competitive cheer team throughout the four years of highschool and Senior year was on two of teams at my gym. I miss it like crazy everyday. Another thing is that I love working with kids. I've taught sunday school at my church for around 6 years. Right now I'm teaching kindergarten and those kids make me smile every week. Another thing is that I can be so clueless sometimes, I don't know what it is, but that seems to be a struggle for me. I also get lost ALLLLL the time. I'm the worst with driving places and directions, I could be drving around forever and have the place right in front of me the whole time.
I've have been extremely blessed with being able to go on 4 different mission trips and with my whole family. First one was to Mexico in 2005. Then when I was 16 and 17 I went to the Dominican Republic and last September went to Peru all with an organization called Kids Alive (except Mexico.. that was through my church). All of the trips were around 1 1/2-2 weeks long and i was never ready to leave the place by the time to go.
To be honest I am a little nervous traveling to Africa without anyone I know... as long as you guys don't leave me stranded in an airport or some random village in Africa somewhere, we will be friends for life. As I said before I tend to get lost a lot. haha I'm actually extremely excited for what God has in store for all of us. In every mission trip I've been on so far, you think you have it all planned out, but God always changes it to be a million times better. I'm praying that myself and all you guys will let ourselves be just like clay and allow God to use us in everyway while we are there this summer and not try to do it by ourselves.
Can't wait to meet ya'll!!!
Molly
